Moth Night Bridgend

Well we didn't manage to do the theme for Moth Night, but we set the trap overnight as usual in the garden. 20 moths of 9 species was good return, the highlight being our first Red-Green Carpet since 2004 and Spruce Carpet since 2014. Red-line Quaker was also new for the year (188th sp) and we also recorded LB Apple moth, Common Marbled Carpet, Lesser Yellow Underwing, Blair's Shoulder-knot, Large Ranunculus and Square-spot Rustic. Another guest was a nice Orange Ladybird!
