Rhoose Point

A good night at Rhoose Point. 25 species, about half of which were new for the year. New species include; the first L-album Wainscot, Vine's Rustic, 2 Cinnabar, Common Swift, Rivulet, 2 Treble Lines, Heart and Club, and the pics below which I am not sure about....

No idea what this is!

Cochylis atricapitana?

Small Fan-footed Wave?

Middle-barred Minor?

If anyone can shed light on what these are I would be very grateful! Adam

  1. I agree with your Cochylis and the Middle-barred Minor.

The top one is a Dichrorampha, and I can't tell these apart with dissecting them.

The Wave looks like Small Dusty to me, but I'm not certain.

  2. Thanks Dave. You are definately right about the Wave having just compared the photo other pics. Odd how the photo's are sometimes better than looking at the moth itself!
